How I Track Down XCMG Part Numbers — Plus a Free Lookup Tool I Built
I work with XCMG machines (excavators, loaders, cranes, rollers) and the single most common headache I see — especially from guys running older or imported units — is simply figuring out the right part number before you can order anything.
Here's the process I use, in case it helps someone:
1. Start with the plate, not the book
Most XCMG components carry a stamped or engraved part code on the housing. Clean the grease off and photograph it. Usually faster than guessing from a diagram.
2. Know the full model + serial
XCMG reuses base model names across years, but parts change between production batches. "XE215C" alone isn't always enough — the serial narrows it.
3. Narrow by system before by name
If you don't have a part code, identify which system it belongs to (hydraulic / engine / undercarriage / electrical / cab), then walk that section of the catalog. Saves a lot of scrolling.
4. Cross-check weight, dimensions and material
Once you think you have the right number, verify the specs match. This is what catches the "looks identical but doesn't fit" errors.
5. When you're stuck, send photos
A supplier or community group can usually identify a part from the machine model plus a couple of clear photos.
The free tool I built for steps 1–4
To make all of this less painful I put together a free XCMG parts lookup: www.gzthmg.com/shop/en/. Full disclosure — this is my own site, I'm not pretending otherwise. What it does:
- Search XCMG spare parts by part number or part name
- Or browse by machine category → model → part category, if you don't have a code
- Each listing shows weight, dimensions and material, so you can verify before ordering
- Free to search, no registration required for the lookup itself
- Can't find a part number? There's a Telegram group (@xcmgparts) — post the machine model and a photo and we'll identify it for free
- Prices require a login; you can build a cart and submit an RFQ
It's aimed at anyone keeping XCMG equipment running — owner-operators, mechanics, small fleets, export buyers. Still rough in places, so I'd genuinely like feedback: which machine lines or part categories should I add next?
Happy to answer XCMG parts questions in the comments either way.
