XCMG Excavator & Wheel Loader Maintenance: The Parts You'll Replace Most
Most unplanned downtime on XCMG excavators and wheel loaders comes from a short list of wear items. Stock the right spares and you cut downtime dramatically.
Excavator (XE series) wear parts
- Hydraulic filters & return filters — replace per the service interval; contamination is the #1 cause of pump failure.
- Track chains, rollers & idlers — inspect tension monthly; replace in sets when wear is uneven.
- Bucket teeth & cutting edges — swap before they wear to the adapter.
- Hydraulic seals & hoses — weepage today is a burst tomorrow.
Wheel loader (LW / ZL series) wear parts
- Transmission & hydraulic filters — critical for the drivetrain.
- Tyres & rim bolts — check torque after the first 50 hours.
- Bucket hinge pins & bushings — greasing discipline extends life 2–3×.
- Brake discs / calipers — monitor thickness during daily walk-around.
A simple schedule
- Daily: walk-around, grease points, check leaks and tyre/track condition.
- 250 h: replace engine & hydraulic filters, sample oil.
- 1000 h: full service kit — filters, seals, wear items per model.
Order before you're stuck
Look up every code in the XCMG parts catalog or the free lookup tool, and keep a running list of your model's common spares on TIHPARTS. Ordering the kit before failure is always cheaper than a crane-out and a rush shipment.
